Airport pickup
15 min
Northline Black Car
Book online, by phone or by text. All three reach the same dispatch. This page sets out what we need, how much notice each kind of trip takes, and what happens once a booking is made.
(646) 222-4444 — call or text. Dispatch 24/7.
Confirmation immediately by email and text. Notice needed: 15 minutes for an airport pickup, 15 minutes within New York City, 1 hour elsewhere.
| Every booking | Why |
|---|---|
| Date and time | For an airport arrival, give us the flight, not a time — we track it and the pickup moves with it. |
| Pickup address | Street number included. “The Hilton” is four different buildings in this region. |
| Destination | Needed for the quote as well as the trip. Multiple stops are quoted before the trip. |
| Passenger name and mobile | The number the chauffeur texts on arrival. If you are booking for someone else, we want their number, not yours. |
| Number of passengers and bags | Decides the vehicle class. Be honest about the bags — see fleet. |
| Vehicle class | business sedans, luxury sedans, business SUVs, luxury SUVs and Sprinter vans — capacities on the fleet pages. |
| Airport arrivals also need | Why |
|---|---|
| Airline and flight number | Dispatch will work against the flight, so a terminal or gate change is handled on our side rather than yours. |
| Domestic or international | Decides free wait time — 30 minutes against 1 hour — and where the chauffeur waits. |
| Meet inside, or curbside | Meet and greet $30 plus parking at cost. Curbside, no charge. |
| Tail number, for a private jet | A private jet has no flight number — we work from the aircraft’s registration, painted on the tail. Many private flights are blocked from public tracking; where the aircraft cannot be tracked, free wait runs from the booked pickup time. |
| Tell us if it applies | Detail |
|---|---|
| Child seat | Booster a booster is $10 a seat, seat a full seat is $30, notice at the time of booking. Types stocked: a regular child seat and a booster seat. |
| Pet | Pets are welcome when declared at booking, in a secure carrier or on the floor with suitable protection; pets over 25 pounds travel in an SUV or Sprinter van, no more than two animals per reservation, and a cleaning fee may apply. |
| Corporate cost code | Matter number, client code or department, carried onto the invoice. |

These are the points at which we can reliably say yes, not hard cut-offs. Shorter notice is worth a phone call — (646) 222-4444 — because the answer depends on where a car happens to be, and a form cannot tell you that.
| When | What |
|---|---|
| On booking | Written confirmation immediately by email and text, with the quoted price and what it includes. |
| On the day | Chauffeur name and vehicle sent to the passenger’s mobile: when the chauffeur sets off, usually 15 minutes to an hour before pickup |
| On arrival | Text, not a call — unless you have asked otherwise. |
| Airport arrivals | Flight tracked automatically. If you know in advance that your flight is delayed, let dispatch know. Wait time policy. |
| After the trip | Receipt emailed once the trip is completed and payment is charged. |
| Item | Position |
|---|---|
| Methods | Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover, or cash |
| When charged | The card is charged at the end of the trip, once the final amount is known |
| Card held at booking | No hold is placed on the card at booking |
| Quote basis | a flat rate for airport transportation and set destinations, or an hourly rate when the car is at your disposal |
| Dynamic pricing | Surge pricing is when a ride's price jumps with demand — during rush hour or bad weather — after you've already committed to the trip. We never charge surge prices. The price you're quoted is the price you pay, with no fuel surcharge added either. |
| Tolls | are not included in the fare and are itemized in your quote |
| Congestion charge | absorbed by us, not added to your fare |
| Sales tax | no sales tax added — the quoted price is what you pay |
| Gratuity | is not included and is entirely at your discretion · on the invoice: a gratuity line appears on the invoice and on the payment screen, and can be set to zero |
What it costs to cancel and when. The windows differ by vehicle class, and a Sprinter van is not a sedan. No-show is defined rather than left to judgment.
How free wait is measured, what happens on a delayed or diverted flight, and when overrun starts being billed at the hourly rate for your vehicle class.
These are the ones specific to making a booking; the answers that apply to every trip — payment methods, gratuity, child seats, pets — are in the FAQ.
No. A card is required to make a booking. No hold is placed on the card at booking, and it is charged at the end of the trip once the final amount is known.
Yes, and most airport bookings are. Give us the traveler's mobile rather than yours, or the chauffeur texts the wrong person on arrival. Assistants booking regularly are better served by an account.
The quote is built from a flat rate for airport transportation and set destinations, or an hourly rate when the car is at your disposal and holds unless the trip changes. What sits outside it is listed rather than buried: tolls are not included in the fare and are itemized in your quote, gratuity is not included and is entirely at your discretion, parking on a meet and greet at cost, extra stops quoted before the trip, waiting beyond the free allowance at the hourly rate for your vehicle class. An hourly booking includes stops at no additional charge.
Delays are automatic — we track the flight. A change of flight number, date or airport is a change we need told: (646) 222-4444. See the wait time policy for diversions (we rebook against the new flight and quote any difference before the car moves) and the cancellation policy for a canceled flight (not charged; dispatch will contact you to reschedule, and if not, the booking is cancelled).
Yes. Both legs are booked together, each with its own pickup time.
